Recognition of a Culture of Care

Unannounced audits are always the ones which are the most worrying. No matter how well the operations are run, how much care is taken to ensure everything and everyone in the business is functioning to the highest standard – there is always doubt that something somewhere will be ‘non-compliant’.

After 2 full days and a thorough investigation by the auditor of all aspects of the business operations, its procedures and management. The result was the award of the AA+ BRCGS accreditation with only 1 minor nonconformity, which was immediately rectified.

We are proud to note that this is the 6th consecutive year that the company has been awarded the top BRCGS AA+ certification. These results not only reflect great credit on the standards set by Toni Leach, the companies Quality Manager.

They are also recognition of the commitment of everyone else in the business who maintain the highest standards in their work daily, weekly, and monthly, year after year.

It is worthy of note that our own internal operational management systems regularly achieve the 98.5% compliance demanded or better. As these systems include all our commercial administration, manufacturing, and warehouse procedures, our stock management, and our suppliers, along with the transport to customers, this is a notable achievement.

One of the many advantages of holding large quantities of customer stock is that it enables through inspection of all materials, long before delivery is due. This enables any errors to be rectified, ensuring that the customer operational activities are not disrupted.

Finally, the inspectors thoughts on the audit were particularly gratifying. They were:

“The site is impeccable and the management system is managed superbly”

A welcome observation which encourages everyone in the business to maintain the highest standards or operational standards.

Any thoughts or opinions you may have on any of the points raised would be welcome.
