Proper moved into the fast growing snack bar category with a healthy alternative. The two flavours, Salted Caramel and Hazelnut Praline, are vegan and gluten free, have no palm oil and use ‘Proper’ ingredients.
The launch was in response to demand from shoppers for healthier on-the-go snacking options as the nation moves towards more mindful snacking.
The packs are made from matt and metallised film with 30% recycled content, meaning they are exempt from the Plastic Tax.
The Plastic Tax, introduced this month, “provides a clear economic incentive for businesses to use recycled material in the production of plastic packaging. This will create greater demand for this material, and in turn, stimulate increased levels of recycling and collection of plastic waste, diverting it away from landfill or incineration”.
