Cylinders
Gravure cylinders are typically engraved by a diamond-tipped or laser etching machine. The engraved image is composed of small recessed cells which act as ink wells and help to control the amount of ink which is transferred to the substrate. The resulting cylinders are both durable and long-lasting, giving consistent image transfer time after time on subsequent reprints.
Quality
Gravure is capable of transferring more ink to the substrate than other printing processes and is noted for its density range (light to dark), making it the process of choice for high definition printing.
Flexibility
Whilst gravure printing is normally associated with longer run lengths, our print capacity allows us to be more flexible and offer shorter run lengths at an economical cost when required.
