The Company

The Company

National Flexible was born out of the Charles Baynes Group and, along with National Packaging, formed a core part of Baynes PLC. In 1998 the present CEO, Barry Twigg, purchased the company from Charles Baynes and many staff invested in the business.

In 2005 the company expanded into new purpose built factory premises – ownership of which is being sold year by year to the staff pension fund. This unique arrangement means eventually the company will pay its rent to the staff. This is just another example of our culture and why we appreciate the value of our customers.

A regular programme of machinery replacement and upgrades has enabled us to have an on-site slitting capacity in excess of 6,000 tonnes per annum. A machinery bank of centre-surface and Duplex slitter/re-winders can accommodate master reels of up to 2.5 metres in length and we can easily cater for times of high demand. This production facility is geared to high flexibility and high productivity, which ensures we service our customer’s demands whatever they may be.

Mill Reel Stock

Mill Reel Stock

Our policy of carrying bulk stock of mill reel ensures that our customers are guaranteed continuity of supply and that we can fix prices for longer. Whilst we are always willing to consider new suppliers, we have a policy of consistently dealing with the same film manufacturing companies year after year. This ensures our customers are guaranteed consistent quality.
